Sakura Women’s Health was founded by Monique Alexis and has pledged to serve her patients  with respect and understanding. Equipped with 30 years of experience in nursing and the healthcare industry, she is deeply committed to serving her patients with compassionate personalized care. The foundation of her nursing profession began as a medical/surgical nurse, caring for the geriatric patient. With a commitment to lifelong learning, she furthered her education and became a registered nurse and pursued her love for obstetrics. Monique has acquired the skill sets to care for the well, and sick patient in the setting of labor and delivery at Broward Health Medical Center. She is proficient in obstetrics care, critical care, postpartum care as well as operating room /recovery operations. Desiring autonomy in her nursing practice, Monique acquired her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Chamberlain University. She achieved “Cum laude’ honors in both her BSN and MSN studies and is a proud member of the Sigma Theta Tau  Nursing Society.  As a board-certified  family nurse practitioner, she believes care should be “well rounded”   and models her practice after Jean Watson’s “ Human Caring Theory”. Monique is well supported in her practice and will collaborate with Dr. Winston  Alexis and Dr. Renee Alexis who are well respected and sought out OB/GYN’s in their diasporas.
